Boyfriend merupakan boyband baru di bawah naungan Starship Entertainment (perusahaan yang sama dengan K.Will, dan Sistar), debut pada tanggal 26 Mei 2011 M!Net MCountdown dengan singel album “Boyfriend.” Jumlah Personil BoyFriend beranggotakan 6 cowok cute. Grup ini sering disebut-sebut sebagai penerus SHINee. Uniknya Boyfriend ini mampu meraih popularitas dalam waktu yang sangat singkat.
BoyFriend yang digawangi Dong Hyun, Hyun Seong, Jeong Min, si kembar Kwang Min dan Young Min, serta Min Woo ini tampil pertama kali di panggung ‘M!Countdown’ pada 26 Mei 2011 silam. Meskipun baru terbentuk, Boyfriend sebenarnya berisi muka-muka yang sudah sering tampil di televisi Korea. Si kembar Kwang Min dan Young Min sudah membintangi lebih dari 300 iklan sejak mereka masih bayi. Sedangkan Min Woo pernah tampil di komedi situasi ‘All My Love’ serta menjadi model video klip.

No Min Woo adalah member pertama dari grup ini yang diungkap ke publik. Diberitakan pada tanggal 22 Maret 2011, Min Woo menjadi cameo di music video My Heart Beating, K-Will yang juga bernaung di management yang sama dengan Boyfriend.
